Individual Supported Retreats - Gomde Lindholme Hall - The centre for Tibetan Buddhism in the UK

Individual Supported Retreats

Gomde, Lindholme Hall offers a wonderful environment for serious practitioners to practice. Whether for short or long term full retreat or, as a base to enable one to focus on practice in the longer term; a place  to put Dharma at the heart of all  one does supported by sanga, community, practice and study.
If you have any interest in joining our community of praticitoners residing in the Hall, please contact Paulette at national@gomde.org.uk to discuss options.

In 2018 are are trialing using the Hall exclusively for our monastic community, retreatants and serious practitioners. This will provide an extremely conducive environment for authentic practice enabling practioners to be supported, secluded and quiet.Lindholme Estate has 180 acres of land and is surrounded by the Hatfield Moor; 3,500 acres of wilderness. The Moor is perfect for walking and quiet reflection; it is rare to see another human being but wildlife is plentiful.

We have been fortunate in recent years to have a considerable monastic presence with Lama Oser as resident Lama and Ani Laura to help guide beginners and inspire us all. We have also been graced by visits from Lama Tenzin and a 2 month residency of the accomplished Khen Rinpoche. We hope with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche´s blessing the conditions continue for these most fortunate circumstances to prevail. If requested our monastic sangha is always willing to offer guidance resident practitioners.

The Hall has a reasonable library of English language Dharma books and some rare Tibetan texts brought here by Lama Oser.
